Why I Want To Be An Adventure TV Journalist?

How did you know you wanted to be an Adventure Journalist?

I've grown up in Colorado so I have had a love and passion for the outdoors and nature since I was a kid. My dad used to read to me every night about the outdoors and I would read with him. I struggled in school but I fell in love with writing and reading. I started riding horses at four years old and it created a passion for horseback riding

My love for the outdoors , horses and writing transitioned into The Outdoor Equestrian Podcast. I love Interviewing adventure tv presenters, filmmakers, journalists, outdoor athletes and famous equestrians. From this podcast I learned I can combine everything I love.

How did you start Interviewing the people on your podcast?

I started Interviewing people through instagram. I looked up and researched people I really looked up to in outdoor/adventure media companies, such as tv presenter/producer and diver Kinga Phillips.

She has done shows such as Travel Channel's Lost In The Wild: where she and J.J. Kelley investigate stories of missing people in international countries.

She had a show with Paul Peddinguas, a Symbologist who has a show on SYFY Channel called Legend Quest.

She also has a show called The Wild Side with Kinga Phillips and for next year she will be the first woman host on Shark Week on Discovery Channel!

Who are you Interviewing now on The Outdoor Equestrian Podcast?

I am in the midst of Interviewing outdoor/adventure writers and upcoming survival stories from I Shouldn't Be Alive on Discovery Channel and Animal Planet . I'll be sharing their stories such as a man who fell into an Ice Crevasse and had brutal hours fighting for his life
