Interview With Travel Journalist Kinga Phillips

1.  𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞?

"To follow your instincts on what you want to do rather than what the "right path" is. It's sometimes a tougher go and has hurdles but ultimately you will build a much happier and more rewarding life. For example, the path for journalists was to start in news and work up to bigger markets... I didn't want to do news so I started seeking opportunities and creating content in the more adventure/travel based space. It took awhile for that to catch on as a career but when it did it got me exactly where I want to be.

" Nothing I wish they knew less.
We live in a social media world and it is absolutely a part of the industry now and a very useful platform. But, sometimes you feel like your whole life is on display. Seriously, I wish people would understand that if you want to you truly can pursue any life path. I have so many people say... It must be nice or I wish I had your life. The answer is always.. it is nice, but you have to build it. It's a great life once you've built your foundation. It's all available but it does require one stepping outside of the lanes."
